THE RULES
Last Updated: 03/01/2015
E-Fed RULES
- The rules may be amended at any time without notice.
- You must read and agree to all of the rules.
- Have fun. It is a game, after all.
- We allow "part timers" if you are unable to compete on a weekly basis. Some examples include competing two times a month (one weekly show and the PPV), competing only at PPVs or competing "on call" where you let us know when you want booked. Obviously the more limited your schedule the more limited title opportunities and feuds will be.
- Please let us know via PM or email if you need time off, or won't be able to roleplay for any reason. Anyone on the full time roster is eligible to be booked on any card unless you specifically tell us NOT to use you.
- Only created characters are allowed; no real wrestlers may be used. As a matter of fact, real organizations and wrestlers do NOT exist in our universe, there is no such thing as WWE, or TNA, or Hulk Hogan.
- No "clones" of a real wrestler. For example you may not have a character named Y3J that uses Jericho's picture base, music and finishers.
- You must be a heel or face; we do not allow "permanent 'tweeners.'" If you wish to debut as a 'tweener,' or make a semi-gradual heel or face turn over a few weeks, that is fine. 'Tweeners' may allow you to do whatever you want on a weekly basis, but make for bad pro wrestling stories.
- This E-Fed allows male and female characters to compete equally in all matches. Since winners are based on roleplays and not your characters physical attributes there is no shame in losing to a female character. It is not acceptable to complain about losing to a woman out of character. Of course your character may complain about facing or losing to women, while in character.
- No duplicate picture bases allowed. You can find the taken picture basis HERE.
- No duplicate theme music allowed (unless part of a Stable or Tag Team). You can find the taken theme music HERE.
- Only two characters are allowed to share a finisher, even if it is named something different. You can find the taken finishers HERE.
- No drama allowed! There is a zero tolerance policy on drama that may result in suspensions, match losses, push removal or even firings/bans.
- Drama includes in character and out of character events. This includes drama not on hosted on AWS such as Twitter or email. For example if one handler is harassing another handler via any method, this counts as drama. It doesn't matter if you have the right to speak your mind, you certainly do, but if we view it as drama we have the right to cut you out of the AWS with that same freedom.
- If you leave the AWS for any reason, we reserve the right to use your character in segments and matches for as long as we deem necessary to wrap up storylines and programs. If you are a champion at the time of your exit, we may put you in a match for the title to move it to another character to avoid a vacancy in the history.
- The winners of all matches are determined by roleplays (see more in Roleplay Rules section, below).
- No bitching or complaining about results. If you lost there was a reason. Please PM Mr. Troy board, DM on Twitter or send us an email and we will be glad to explain what happened. You may not like the answer as it will simply be that the opponent had a better roleplay. Roleplay judgment is human OPINION and everyone has a different opinion.
- We encourage you to create and move along your own storylines if you desire. Please write and send your segments to either Mr. Troy or the GM in an email or PM by the end of the day on Monday for it to be included on the show. We can't guarantee that we will use or allow it, but we most likely will.
- We try to create storylines for the fun of the game, please play along. For example; If your character is a heel and you see that we had him run off with a title that he just lost, please roll with it and follow the direction that we set in show results. If you feel we are driving your character down a path that doesn't fit, just let us know; otherwise, please play along as well as possible. It helps create an immersive environment.
- While roleplays do not allow you to use other characters in them, segments are a bit different and are up to managements discretion. While it is good practice to get permission to use another character in a segment that will be posted in the show results, it is not required with a few exceptions. It has to make sense and fit with a storyline or feud. It can't be nonsense or over the top. You can't cause death or serious injury to other characters or other characters families without their permission. If in doubt clear it with them first.
- Title shots are based on roleplay skill, progress, character development, and company driven storylines. We try to give out fair chances, but it is impossible to make everyone happy. Asking for a title shot will do nothing.
- You may not ask a champion for a title shot, and the champion cannot grant one. The same applies to any other match. Only management books matches, even if two people agree to have a match.
- You can only hold one singles championship at a time. You may hold the Tag Team championship along with any other singles title. If you win a second singles title you have 24 hours to decide which singles title you will be vacating.
- Using Twitter is encouraged! Please create a separate account for your character, rather than using your personal account. It would be best if this account was not linked to other E-Feds; we don't want to see a bunch of tweets about other federations. Tweets from that account will be displayed on our home page, as well as on the forum, and will be "in character" by default. If you wish to make an "out of character" tweet please place OOC: or #OOC at the beginning of the tweet.
- We hold a weekly show named Ascension on Wednesdays. The last Wednesday of the month will be a Pay Per View. On Pay Per View weeks, there is no separate Ascension show.
- We will attempt to post results by the end of the day on Wednesdays, but, of course, we cannot guarantee this. The folks who run this fed are adults who work, or attend full time college, have a family, a mortgage etc. We will try our hardest to get results up on time on a weekly basis.
ROLEPLAY RULES
- For both Ascension and Pay Per Views there is a two (2) roleplay limit (per character) for non-team matches. For team matches, (tag team, 3 vs 3, etc.) there is a roleplay limit of one per character/X per team, where X is the total number of characters on the team. If a handler owns both characters on a tag team they may write two roleplays using both characters.
- There are two different roleplay deadlines. There is a final deadline and a 24 hour deadline. The final deadline is Tuesday night at 11 PM Eastern Time (United States of America). The deadline does shift to follow Daylight Saving Time (DST). Roleplays posted at 11:01 PM Eastern or later will not be counted. You may only post ONE (1) roleplay within the final twenty four hours. For example, If you post your first roleplay at 11:30 PM Eastern Monday, you cannot post a second roleplay. However, this is not a problem if you did not intend on writing a second roleplay.
- The 24 hour roleplay deadline DOES apply to team matches. If you are in a Tag Team or other team match only ONE (1) roleplay for your team will be counted in the final twenty four hours. If two or more roleplays for one team are posted in the final 24 hours of the deadline we will only count the earliest of those roleplays, making the later ones useless. If you plan on posting your roleplay in the final 24 hours you should work with your team mate(s) to ensure that no one else is planning on doing so as well.
- Roleplays must be posted, in full, on our forums; we do not allow you to simply link to roleplays posted elsewhere.
- Roleplays are judged by the owner(s) and/or management. If an owner has a character in a match an unbiased person within or outside of the federation will be used to judge. The owner may consult others for opinions and input.
- Roleplays are judged on these factors: quality of writing, story telling, cohesion, length, promo skills, content, and spelling and grammar. If your character has intentionally poor spelling and grammar, that will be accounted for (an uneducated hillbilly character, for example.)
- Quality over quantity is key. Lengthy quality is hard to achieve but is certainly great. Generally speaking, the longer a roleplay is the harder it is for it to remain a quality item. Excessive length often times hurts your chances of winning.
- Manager Roleplays: (1) If you handle the manager of your wrestler, you can roleplay as your manager, wrestler or both, but there is still a limit of two roleplays for non team matches. (2) If someone else handles the manager of your wrestler you must work with them on a roleplay game plan if they wish to participate in roleplays. The manager may post independent roleplays to count towards your wrestlers match if the wrestler agrees. If the wrestler is to speak in the manager's roleplay or if the manager is to speak in the wrestler's roleplay the handler of the other must agree. Another option is for the manager to write a section for the wrestler to include in his roleplay, no matter which way it is tackled there is still a two roleplay limit per wrestler for non team matches regardless of who posts the roleplay.
- While not required, using BB code on the forum to have your character speak in a certain color, or using italics to designate a narrative section, makes it much easier to read. The easier a roleplay is to read, the better. Simply Google search "BB code tutorials" for assistance on using the code to make text bold, italicized, underlined, different colors and/or sizes, to insert links, pictures, etc.
- There are no limits on cursing, violent, or sexual content in your roleplays, as long as it fits your character and isn't shocking just for the sake of shock with no substance and value. If it is too intense, please place an OOC notice at the top of the RP letting people who may be sensitive know. Pictures are an exception, please do not post pornographic or gory pictures in your roleplays.
- You may not use another person's character in your roleplay without their permission. You may not have them speak or appear without their permission. You may not invent back story or storylines for other characters that you do not handle and present them as fact. For example having your character reveal a newspaper article that claims another character was arrested for murder would be in violation if this rule. You may imply or use other creative means to get your point across without violating this rule.
- For dream sequences or other similar scenarios, use of other characters is only allowed if it is made very clear that the appearance is indeed in a dream or hallucination and not in fact real.
- Feel free to use our interviewer and medical staff in roleplays, but keep it realistic and neutral for their speaking parts. Do not have them do anything physical, like giving or receiving punishments. DO NOT use Mr. Troy or the GM, Alistair Mason, in your roleplays without their permission.
- For Television Championship matches, there is a 1,500 word per roleplay maximum limit. This is the only type of match to hold a maximum limit. There is no minimum in any match.
- No-showing isn't good for anyone, but it happens. If you no-show (post no roleplays for a booked match) your first match, two times in a row or habitually you will be terminated. No showing, especially habitual no showing may factor into pushes and roleplay/match judgement.
- Please remember that roleplays are in character, like an actor in a movie or on stage. Do not take insults personally.
